sat down to paint and immediately doubted your colour choices? If so, you're not alone. I've been there...many times. I've mixed the muddy greens, bought the "almost perfect" pinks, and flukily mixed shades I loved but could never recreate.

And here's what I realised... most creatives don't struggle with ideas and inspiration, we struggle with building a colour palette that gives our work the look we long to achieve.

No one tells you how overwhelming (and difficult) it is to create a colour palette that actually harmonises. You’re presented with a wall of paint tubes and somehow expected to know: firstly what colours work together, and secondly how to create the colours that you can't find. A totally unrealistic expectation for many of us.

So I took it upon myself to do something about this. After months of experimenting, testing and tweaking I launched my first collection of curated paint sets, hand-mixing and selecting every shade myself, for creatives like you. The feedback was incredible, and it quickly became clear that this was something a lot of us had been missing.

I didn't start Plinky because the world needed more paint. I started Plinky because the world needs more people to pursue their creativity, and that requires less overwhelm and fewer barriers to entry. My hope is that Plinky paint sets will enable more creatives to have confidence in their work from an early stage and enjoy the act of making.
